Help & Advice

Cautionary Warning – If you are using an online booking service make sure the accommodation you are booking is actually on or near the route. This is particularly true if you are trying to book a place which has a name which can also used by another establishment in the locality such as Red Lion, Ty Gwyn.
The Accommodation page on our website has a comprehensive list of what we believe is currently available on or near the route.
Finding accommodation on or near the Route can be difficult on the early sections. Below are ideas on how to get around this.

Accommodation Conwy Valley

There is accommodation in the Conwy Valley around Tal-y-cafn the problem is that much of it is both expensive and for Pilgrims unwelcoming – they have stay more than one night  or pay for two. The following possible accommodation has been identified.

Conwy Valley Barn

This is near Talybont.
Website
This is served by the bus services to and from Llanrwst. It can also be accessed by leaving the route after the Talycafn Bridge and and taking the footpath on the left past Caerhun Church.

Eglwysbach

There is a relatively good bus service from the village to and from the Coast. The bus even stops almost outside the Premier Inn at the Black Cat Roundabout. Buses leave at 15:05 and 17:05.

The Backtrack Campsite. Food is available at the local pub
